Every Sunday we collect some kind of small tangible items requested by a local agency, collecting for each agency for a month.  Some months it’s toiletries for newly-resettled refugees, some months it’s pasta for a food pantry, some months it’s winter hats and gloves for those who live on the streets, some months it’s school supplies for the Winters school or local after-school programs.  In February we collect soup for “Souper Bowl Sunday.”

Worshipers place their contribution in baskets near the entrances to the church and they are brought forwards at the Offering, alongside our contributions of money.  Over the course of each year we contribute thousands of dollars worth of items to agencies all over central RI.
